Before you order
I need some help deciding!
We know we offer a wide range of choices on our website, so if you have any specific questions that our website hasn't answered, please free to reach out to us at help@compoundwoodwork.com.
We are here to help and aim to respond within 24 hours. Please note that response times may be slightly longer during weekends and holidays.
Bespoke sizing
As all our products are handmade to order, we can occasionally accommodate bespoke sizing requests.
Please get in touch if you have any enquiries about adapting our products to better fit your space.
Requests must align with our packaging dimensions, and depending on the changes, there may be an additional fee.
What is included in the price?
Our pricing is per shelf. If you order one shelf, you will receive one shelf.
Any additional items shown in the pictures are for decorative purposes only.
Fixings are included, as are fitting instructions. Shipping is free for orders over £100.
Do you supply fixings?
Fixings will be provided with all furniture items.
For our décor items, please see individual listings to determine if sticky tabs are provided.
For all fixings, we recommend seeking professional advice if you are unsure whether they will work for your specific situation.
My order
How long will my order take?
All our items are handmade to order.
Our décor items we aim to dispatch within 3-7 working days.
Our furniture items we aim to dispatch within 2-3 weeks.
Please see individual product listings if you are unsure which category your product falls under.
If you purchase several items, they will likely be dispatched together and therefore the longest delivery time frame is relevant.
The above applies to the mainland UK only.
Orders received on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays will be processed the next working day.
Can I check the progress of my order?
Of course! If you are unsure of when your order is due to be dispatched or simply want some reassurances of when your items are due, please email info@compoundwoodwork.com and we will be happy to help.
How do I cancel my order ?
Please note we do not accept cancellations on customised orders after 24 hours of purchase.
If you wish to cancel your order, please send an email to help@compoundwoodwork.com requesting to cancel your order, quoting your name and order number. Please include Cancel Order in your email title.
If you intend to cancel your order, please do so at your earliest convenience. Once your order has been dispatched, cancellations will be treated as returns, with the customer responsible for return postage.
Can I return my order?
Please note we do not accept returns on customised orders.
For all other orders- we accept returns up to 30 days after receipt of the product.
If you wish to return your order, please send an email to help@compoundwoodwork.com quoting your name and order number. Please include Return Order in your email title.
After corresponding regarding the return, we will ask you to return your product/s securely wrapped in their original packaging. Customer are responsible for return postage costs.
Once your return has reached our workshop, we will look everything over for damage, and after been given the all clear, process your refund as soon as possible.

Who do you ship with?
We ship via Parcelforce and Royal mail who’s own stringent green initiatives align with ours.
We always strive to package multiple
orders into one package, thus cutting down on the fuel emissions to ship our
orders.
Can I track my parcel?
Please see shipping options to determine how your order will be shipped.
For all trackable parcels, once your order has been dispatched from our workshop, you will receive an email confirming your order is on its way to you, along with a Parcelforce tracking number.
The tracking will become available 24 hours before delivery.
How will my order come packaged?
We have a bespoke packaging system. Utilising our laser cutting machine, we create precision packing for each individual order, resulting in an
extremely economical and safe packaging system.
We have worked extremely hard streamlining our packaging,
and are very happy that our packaging is now completely biodegradable, recyclable or utilising recycled materials.

What woods do you use?
You can find a more in-depth information about the materials we work with on our timber page, but in a nutshell-
We exclusively work with sustainably sourced hardwood that comes from 100% sustainably managed forests.
Our Ash is a beautiful, strong, pale toned wood with a wide swirly grain.
Our Oak is a more classic look, and a warmer option. With golden tones and a bold unique grain texture .
Our Walnut is a richer, darker option with chocolate tones and a sophisticated, smooth straight grain with occasional curls.
All woods are non toxic, hardwearing and perfect for long lasting
use.
Is your packaging plastic free?
We are extremely proud of our bespoke packaging system. Utilising our laser cutting machine, we create precision packing for each individual order, resulting in an extremely economical and safe packaging system.
We occasionally use bubble wrap or foam plastic packaging. Please note; this is REUSED packaging that we've received from deliveries etc. The rest of the packaging we use is either recyclable, reusable or biodegradable. We do not buy plastic packaging.

As our products are handmade to order, we work with stockist on a drop ship basis.
